Bond Cleaning Checklist Australia ("we", "us" or "this tool") is a free online resource that helps Australian tenants prepare for an exit inspection and recover their rental bond. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We are an independent community tool and are not affiliated with the RTA, NSW Fair Trading, Consumer Affairs Victoria, QCAT, NCAT or VCAT.

Photos you upload as condition evidence are stored so you can attach them to your checklist and include them in a PDF report. You can remove a photo from a task at any time. We recommend you avoid uploading images that show identifying documents or people's faces.

We do not sell your information. We only share the specific data you ask us to share — for example, emailing your checklist progress to the property agent email address you provide. Service providers that help us operate the tool (such as hosting, email delivery and AI) may process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security standards.

Your checklist and contact data is retained for as long as you use the tool and afterwards as needed to respond to enquiries and improve the service. You may request deletion of your contact message or recommendation request at any time by emailing us through the contact form.

You can clear your local checklist state by removing photos and completing a fresh session. For any request to access, correct or delete the personal information you have submitted, contact us through the contact page and we will respond, usually within 1-2 business days.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information using secure storage and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data against unauthorised access.

This tool is intended for adult renters managing their own tenancy. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the tool evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date above whenever we make changes. Continued use of the tool after a change means you accept the updated policy.
